I've never claimed that walking to Uni is actually safe. The area between the Uni at Holloway Road and Tufnell Park is known as pretty dodgy. If I can actually walk to uni without seeing any police-cars, ambulances etc, it's quite unusual. I would claim that the area has a lot of social cases to take care of.. (in terms of criminality, drugs, theft etc)

A couple of weeks ago a guy was actually killed with a hammer outside the uni's main entrance. Looks like we've to deal with murder as well. According to witnesses it was blood everywhere. One of my friends has seen bulletholes in a college near by, and this car was the first thing I saw when I got out of the uni's main exit last Tuesday. I should probably be happy that I've never experienced some of this myself.

Have you had any bad experiences lately?

Were you one of those who actually dared to try my After-Easter-Challenge???? I really hope your reaction wasn't as bad as this fellas... CLICK HERE

Ps Aaron: I promise this is not one of my attempts to try to scare you!

Marie visiting London!

The day when Marie was gonna come visit finally became a reality. Most of my uni. work was taken care of, and I could practically see the weekend coming! Marie arrived pretty late, so I went to Liverpool St. to meet her there. From Liverpool St, we went to Old Street, were the guys were waiting for us in a pub.

Shahroz and Faz

Erik and Eivind

Of course we didn't get to go to get early that night, but Friday we had to get out to do all the sightseeing! We did everything! Waterloo,Big Ben, House of Parliament, Westminister Abbey, St.James' park, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Sq, Leicester Sq, Piccadilly Circus, Carnaby Street, Oxford Street, St. Paul's Cathedral, Millennium Brige, past the Shakespeare Globe and HMS Belfast via Tower Bridge to Tower of London
That's pretty much everything there is to see, isn't it?

We stayed in Friday night, had some pizza, watched a movie etc. We had to get up really early on Saturday, because we had to catch a bus to Cardiff, leaving from Victoria at 8.am. Cardiff was a nice, small town, it even had a castle! We walked around for a couple of hours, saw the Millenium Stadium, had some coffee and went shopping. Back in London in the evening, we felt that we had to go clubbing. So we went to the Old Street area. Went home pretty early, but it was a fun night!

On Sunday we had arranged to meet a mutual friend in the Norwegian Church. We finally got there (London Marathon) and afterwards we went to see 'Stomp'. That was an amazing show! I could barely sit still for two hours! That is definitely worth seeing guys!

Monday was the big shoppingday for Marie, while I was at uni. She conquered both Oxford Street and Camden. In the evening we went to Stingray's and had a delicious three course meal for £5,95! After some socialising with Jørn and Omar in TPH bar, we were so tired and exhausted that we went straight to bed.

A REAL Easter break...

London is a fantastic city to live in, but sometimes you just need a break from it. On bank holiday, the last day this Easter, I took a break from London, and went to see "my English family". The Woods. They live in a village outside of Oxford. They've moved into a great house, and it was so nice seeing them again! Besides, I got served a great meal! (roast lamb, Yorkshire pudding..) and for dessert Carol served pear tarte and homemade ice-cream! This is definetly the best meal I've had in a very, very, very long time!!

Did you say pictures? Of couse! Check out the link, 'my pictures'. --->

Can anyone come up with any good reasons for NOT going to Norway for Easter Break? Nothing, I mean NOTHING is better that the Norwegian mountains during easter. SUN, SNOW, SKIING, MOUNTAINS, a good book and maybe a beer.

PLEASE, I need to come up with some really good explanations why I didn't go! (post a comment!)
